Slashed leggings are a great way to add a rocker edge to your winter outfit. You'll need a pair of leggings (make sure there's no seam on the outside of the leg), a ruler, chalk and scissors. Put the leggings on and mark where you'd like the slashes to start and end both vertically and horizontally. We recommend tapering them so that they're wider at the top and thinner at the bottom (2" from the edge at the top and 1/2" at the bottom). Take the leggings off and lay them flat. Using your ruler, draw a straight line from the top mark to the bottom on the front and back. Make 3/4" markings along the lines. Cut a triangle out along the edges of the leggings so that the tip is at your mark and a 1/2" base is at the edge. Do this for both sides. When you're finished, brush the chalk off and your slashed leggings are ready to wear! Thanks to Sprinkles in Springs
